Note the side of the tool with the raised pegs (arrows in Fig 1

& Fig 2). This corresponds to pin #6 (EV2) or #4

(Performax) on the connector.

Place the wires in the slots of the tool, starting with pin #6

(or #4).

Place the connector over the wires and the tool, making sure

pin #6 (or #4) is at the side with the raised pegs, and keeping

the wires in the slots.

Using pliers, carefully squeeze the connector into the

insertion tool, until it is fully seated and all the wires are

pushed into their slots in the connectors (Fig 2).

Note: Fig 2 shows an EV2 6-pin connector. The insertion

tool is compatible with Performax 4-pin connectors.

Place the wires in the slots of the tool, starting with pin #6

(or #4).

Place the connector over the wires and the tool, making sure

pin #6 (or #4) is at the side with the raised pegs, and keeping

the wires in the slots.

Using pliers, carefully squeeze the connector into the

insertion tool, until it is fully seated and all the wires are

pushed into their slots in the connectors (Fig 2).

tool is compatible with Performax 4-pin connectors.
